Check out this gem!

Would you ever think that you could get your own little slice of Hawaii right here in Pinellas County? Well then….. you probably haven’t been to Ohana Cafe in Dunedin!

You are kindly greeted at the door upon entering with a friendly “Aloha”? and invited to sit wherever you want to. The wait help are pleasant and always greet you with a great big smile.?

They stand by their promise of making all of their food fresh daily, from scratch with LOVE! They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serve all of the menu items all day long.

Their proteins are always antibiotic, hormone and nitrate free and their dairy products are organic and/or hormone free. My absolute favorite are the vegan tacos ???!!

Don’t take my word for it! Check out their menu HERE and if you haven’t stopped by Ohana Cafe on S.R. 580, make it your next lunch stop. You will thank me!

Check out Golden Dinosaur in Gulfport!! All Vegan and you won’t know it!

As some of you may know or not know, I have been vegan now for 6 years! It started as a new-years resolution and it STUCK! It was so much easier than you may think….

I’m always searching for good restaurants that offer vegan options. It was a bit of a drive for me (from north county) but last weekend I drove down to Gulfport to check out Golden Dinosaur and was I ever WOWED!!! They make their seitan fresh daily and create wonderful dishes out of it. If you don’t know, Seitan is the base for many commercially available vegetarian products such as Tofurky deli slices, meatless frankfurters, fakin’ bacon, and others. You can generally find it in a variety of styles, such as ground, in slices, or in strips.

Golden Dinosaur was cozy, friendly and LOCAL! Check out their menu HERE!

For something different and off the beaten path, I highly recommend that you visit the little town of Gulfport and have lunch or dinner at the Golden Dinosaur.

Secret hide away Pizza joint?

??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️One of my best friend’s birthday was yesterday and she suggested that we go to Hackett’s on the Causeway! She lives out on the Dunedin causeway and near the restaurant; I had never even heard of it.

And OH BOY! Was I surprised to find this little gem, nestled away at the corner of Alt 19 and Curlew Rd. (southeast corner). They have a lot of healthy options for appetizers, salads and homemade pizzas and even have a breakfast menu. I would direct you to their website, but unfortunately was unable to get it to load properly! Hopefully, it will be up and running soon.

?Regardless, I would recommend that you check out this place for a delightful treat. They have indoor and outdoor seating?

Long time sushi favorite?

??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️This past weekend, I wanted to take my son out to dinner to a place that I knew he would appreciate and love. It only took a second before I decided upon Pisces Sushi and Global Bistro in downtown Dunedin.

I’ve been following the owner and chef, James Keene, around since he opened his original location several years back, located on S.R. 580, near U.S. 19 in Clearwater, FL. At the time, he and his wife brought the quiet plaza to life in a BIG way! I have to believe that he brought business to all of the surrounding shops within the plaza.

The restaurant was an immediate hit and brought a whole new name to sushi. James concocted fresh food combinations to roll up as a sushi roll that just hadn’t been thought of before this time.

They eventually moved their location to downtown Dunedin, Florida and their customer base exploded!

Their menu features such items named the “shaggy dog”, “bubba gump”, “pink panther” and “Dunedin’s Dream”. Click HERE for their full menu.

Even if you are not a “sushi person”, you will love this restaurant! If you haven’t been there, I highly suggest that you give it a try. Let me know when you are going and I will meet you there?
